Meet A Future Leader In Robinson-Moon: Simon Wang
Patch and T-Mobile have partnered to highlight young people achieving great things in our community.

The future of Robinson-Moon is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Simon Wang, who are making a positive impact in and around Robinson-Moon.
Simon Wang, a senior at the University of Pittsburgh, has been recognized with Campus Compact’s Student Leadership Impact Award for his dedication to civic and community engagement. As a co-founder of the Pittsburgh Policy Initiative (PPI), Simon is leading efforts to address public policy issues impacting the Pittsburgh metro area.
PPI, launched last year alongside fellow Pitt student Jaydep Halder, is described as a “student-run think tank” where civic-minded students at the university can learn about public policy and apply it in a real-world context. PPI is in its early stages of research to develop solutions for pressing local issues like affordable housing and food insecurity.
