Michael Baker Awarded for U.S./Mexico Border Fence Project
The Moon-based firm oversaw construction on the fence, which serves as the largest U.S. Customs and Border Protection project in the country's history.

The Moon-based Michael Baker Corp. has been recognized for its work constructing a 500-acre fence along the United States/Mexico border.
The Construction Management Association of America honored the firm ealier this month for its work overseeing construction on the border fence, which is the largest U.S. Customs and Boarder Protection infrastruction project in United States history.
The federally funded project involved construction of vehicle and pedestrian fencing along the southwest boarders of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.

The company worked with Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers for the project, which aims to quell illegal immigration across the U.S. border with Mexico.
The CMAA presented the award at its annual awards conference earlier this month in Washington D.C.
