New Pittsburgh-Area Restaurant To Have Iconic City Name, Menu Items
A restaurant with a familiar-sounding name is on its way to the Pittsburgh area.
MOON TOWNSHIP, PA — Jenny Lee products are still sold in supermarkets, though the classic Pittsburgh bakery closed in 2008 after a 70-year-run. But the name is being brought back as the legacy owners prepare to open a new restaurant.
Jenny Lee's Breakfast Nook will open soon on Broadhead Road in Moon, according to the coming restaurant's Facebook page. An opening date was not announced online.
The eatery will open on the site of the current A Taste of Ita-Lee, which announced on Facebook that it will be closing on March 15.

The menu will offer the bakery's renowned swirl and other breads, breakfast sandwiches, grilled cheese sandwiches, smash burgers, french toast, sticky buns and other items.
The restaurant is the brainchild of the family of the Jenny Lee owners, which now operate as 5 Generation Bakers and sell their baked goods to supermarkets such as Giant Eagle.
