Moon Township Man Injured in Beaver County Motorcycle Crash
Pennsylvania State Police in Beaver County said the severity of the man's injuries was unknown.

A Moon Township man was injured this afternoon after his motorcycle skidded 120 feet across a road in Beaver County.
Pennsylvania State Police said John K. Nixon, 58, was traveling east around 4 p.m. on Anderson Hozak Road in Hanover Township when he hit a large pile of gravel, causing him to lose control of his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The vehicle slid 120 feet before coming to rest, according to state police. The road surface had recently been tarred and chipped by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Nixon, who was wearing a helmet when he crashed, was transported to Allegheny County Hospital in the North Side. The severity of his injuries is not known.
