Moon Offers Christmas Tree Pickup

The department will offer curbside Christmas tree pickup from Jan. 3 to Jan. 13. 

Residents also can drop off trees for disposal at the Downes Fire Station at the intersection of Ewing and Beaver Grade roads from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 14-15. 

The curbside pickup will follow residents' garbage schedules. Trees should be placed at curbside by 8 a.m. Ornaments and decorations should be removed from trees. Artificial trees will not be accepted. 

Trees collected will be chipped and used for township landscaping projects.
