Moon Babysitter Accused of Leaving 4-Year-Old Unattended

A baby-sitter is facing charges after leaving a 4-year-old girl unattended Thursday afternoon while he slept. 

According to WPXI, Peter Weaver, 31, was discovered passed out drunk on a bed at a Moon Crest home and it took several attempts before police could rouse him.

Moon police Chief Leo McCarthy told WPXI that a bus driver dropping off a 7-year-old girl at the home first alerted police after no one answered the door to let the child inside.

Through a window, WPXI reports the bus driver saw a small child running around inside and called police. Officers found a 4-year-old girl crying, naked and soiled in an empty bathtub, WPXI said.

Weaver is facing endangering the welfare of children charges, but it doesn't appear the parents will be charged.
