Police: Moon Woman Stiffs Restaurant Bill, Faces Hearing Today

A Moon Township woman faces a hearing today on charges that she failed to pay for her food and drinks after dining at a Sewickley restaurant.

Donna Hettick, 59, of Sharon Road, is charged with theft of services, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

According to a criminal complaint filed by Sewickley police, Hettick ordered a chicken salad and had three glasses of wine April  25 at Lula restaurant on Broad Street in Sewickley. When it came time to pay her $40 bill, Hettick told the restaurant she couldn’t pay because she didn’t have any money.

Police said Hettick was sleeping in a booth when officers were called.

She was taken to the police station and released to her boyfriend. Police said Hettick was given until 3 p.m. the following Monday to bring the money or she would be charged.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled today before District Judge Robert Ford in Leetsdale.
