Three-Car Blaze Injures Moon Township Man

Police said a man is found laying near the scene of a car fire.

A man was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital with burn injuries after a three-car blaze at the . 

DeAngelo Hill, 25, of Moon, was found laying on the ground at the scene of the fire, which sparked at 2 a.m. Wednesday on Bridle Trail.

Hill, who was found highly intoxicated and unresponsive, had burn marks on his face, said in a report. His breathing was shallow.

UPMC Mercy could not be reached for comment on Hill's condition.

Police said a Dodge Avenger parked outside of the complex caught fire and was fully engulfed in flames when authorities arrived.

The vehicle is registered to Hill's ex-girlfriend, police said. The woman confirmed that the two have a relationship, and said the car is registered in her name, though Hill frequently uses it. Hill is a Polo Club resident, police said. 

The fire spread to two vehicles parked nearby, a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Dodge Dakota, police said. Both sustained heavy damage. 

No one was in the vehicles at the time of the blaze and no other injuries were reported. 

A cause of the blaze was not available. Moon Township volunteer firefighters responded to the scene.
