Woman Charged After Gun Seized At Pittsburgh International Airport

MOON TOWNSHIP. PA — A West Virginia woman has been charged after Transportation Security Administration officials discovered a firearm in her backpack at the Pittsburgh International Airport main security checkpoint on Sunday.
TSA officers alerted Allegheny County police about the weapon at around 10:44 a.m.
Police said the revolver belonged to Amber Brooks, 33, who did not have a valid concealed carry permit. She is facing one misdemeanor charge of carrying a firearm without a license.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation was also notified of the weap0n seizure.
Passengers who bring firearms into an airport security checkpoint can face federal civil fines from the TSA up to $10,000. Repeat offenders can be fined up to $13,910.
