Woman Charged with Drug Possession During Traffic Stop

 made the following arrests in the township. Each incident reflects police records and is not an indication of guilt.

• Rejeana Maria Silla, 24, of McDonald, was charged with drug possession and prohibited acts at 2 a.m. Nov. 11 during a traffic stop. She was transported to the Allegheny County Jail after the incident. Silla is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing Jan. 17 in Coraopolis District Court. 

• Scott George Fitzgerald, 37, of Coraopolis, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license at 1:15 a.m. Nov. 11 on Beaver Grade Road.

• Mert Kirmani, 26, of Moon, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and driving without a valid license at 8:30 p.m. Nov. 12 on Brodhead Road after a one-vehicle crash. Police said Kirmani was traveling eastbound on the roadway when his Ford Taurus left the road.

• Karen E. Valach, 46, of Moon, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and driving on roadways not laned for traffic at 10:15 Nov 5. on Whispering Woods Drive.
