• Kinzua Quality Deer Cooperative Announces Winners of Deer Raffles at Deer Check Stations on SR 59 and SR 346 (solomonswords.net) — A New Castle hunter, Chris Houston, took home a $250 buck raffle prize after checking in his 8-point deer with the Kinzua Quality Deer Cooperative in northwestern Pennsylvania. The cooperative also awarded a $500 prize to an Ohio hunter and thanked sportsmen for helping manage deer numbers and forest health.
   

• Ellwood City man charged after causing a single-vehicle crash in Lawrence County (beavercountyradio.com) — State police based in New Castle say an Ellwood City driver was charged after a single-vehicle rollover crash Friday afternoon on Wurtemberg Road in Wayne Township, Lawrence County. Both the driver and his passenger were wearing seatbelts, declined medical transport, and several local emergency crews assisted at the scene.
   

• Selisa D. Lowery, Farrell, PA (wkbn.com) — Family and friends are mourning Selisa “Lisa” Lowery, who was born in New Castle and later lived in Farrell, after her passing on December 7. Loved for her fierce but loving spirit, she leaves children, grandchildren, and a close-knit extended family; a memorial service is planned Friday, December 12, at John Flynn Funeral Home and Crematory.
