American Idol Finalist to Give Concert for Cats
Rising star Kayko will host a concert for Tabby's Place: a Cat Sanctuary at the Stangl Factory in Flemington on Friday 10/3.
Katy Perry gave him the golden ticket on American Idol, but “Kitty Purry” may be Kayko’s biggest fan.
The wide-eyed black cat is one of 130 felines who will benefit from the rising star’s concert for Tabby’s Place: a Cat Sanctuary, at the Stangl Factory in Flemington, NJ at 7pm on Saturday, October 3rd.
Since reaching the Top 10 on American Idol season 22, Kayko has brought his blend of pop punk, synth pop, and musical theater to over 50 cities. His combination of exuberant music and life-giving lyrics has earned Kayko a passionate following, as he gets audiences dancing without shying away from the sorrow and shadows that touch every life.

Kayko’s empathy extends to feline lives, and Tabby’s Place is in perfect harmony with his mission to bring hope and healing in hard times.
As a sanctuary for cats from hopeless situations, Tabby’s Place rescues felines whose medical and behavioral issues have closed all doors of hope. At Tabby’s Place, these former “misfits” are cherished and championed, thriving in cage-free bliss. With world-class medical care and unconditional love, the littlest, the last, and the lost find their voices.

But such care is expensive. Just this summer, Tabby’s Place resident Kitty Purry and her brother Leonardo DiCatrio faced a life-threatening case of feline infectious peritonitis, a perilous battle for young cats already living with feline leukemia virus (FeLV). Urgent treatment and tenacious tenderness saved Kitty and Leo, restoring the mirth and melody to their lives.
Cats like Kitty Purry have a faithful fan in Kayko, who will donate the proceeds from the Flemington concert to Tabby’s Place. Tickets are available for $30 and will help provide life-saving care for the sanctuary’s 130+ cats.
It is Kayko’s dream to write songs “that equally help us dance and feel awesome but also help us process our sadness that we carry through our most difficult times.” On October 3rd, he’ll fill the dance floor for cats whose sorrows led to love songs.
