Beloved French Bakery & Cafe Bids New Hope Adieu

NEW HOPE, PA - New Hope’s C’est La Vie French Bakery & Cafe has turned off its ovens and closed its doors after 26 years of baking delicious memories.
The bakery had built a reputation over its close to 30 years in business for its mouthwatering breads, pastries, and cakes and its tasty quiches.
In its final Facebook posting, owners Jane and Joel Vitart wrote simply, “C’est le temp,” translated as, “It’s time to go.

“We have had a wonderful 26 year run here in New Hope but it is time to close up shop,” they wrote.

Their final day was on Sunday, Oct. 29.

“To all our customers, friends, family and staff who have supported us through the years, we truly appreciate your loyalty and friendship. We will miss you,” the family writes.
“Thank you one and all for your loyalty and support over this past quarter century plus! Stay tuned for our upcoming memoir which will include some favorite recipes! Merci beaucoup!”
