Burglar Stole Leather Jackets, Motorcycle Helmet, Cash From New Hope's Rt. 32 Riding Gear

Police said the person went in and out of the store multiple times, taking the items and cash before leaving toward the towpath.

NEW HOPE, PA — Police say someone stole $197.95 in cash, five leather jackets, and a motorcycle helmet from Rt. 32 Riding Gear on South Main Street last week.

The New Hope Borough Police Department is investigating the burglary, which occurred Tuesday at 12:40 a.m. They said the suspect used a tool to pry open the door.

The person is seen on surveillance video entering the business at 12:40 a.m., leaving, and returning at 1:03 a.m., carrying items from the building and walking south along the sidewalk both times. They stole $197.95 cash, three Durango leather jackets, two Free Scoot black & gray leather jackets, and a Shark Vision R Series 2 helmet.

Police described the suspect as having a slim build and wearing dark clothing, a dark knit hat, and gloves. They said it appears the person walked between The Last Temptation and Zelda Boutique toward the towpath.
