Central Bucks Wellness Center Re-Brands As 'Kin' With Mission By, For Community
The Corinne Sikora Wellness & Support Center has a new name, representing familial interconnectedness for Bucks County cancer patients.

BUCKINGHAM, PA — The Corrine Sikora Wellness and Support Center is going by a new name: Kin.
The word is meant to embody family and kinship, according to a news release, which the Center hopes to exude in embracing the mantra "by the community, for the community." The new center will open Dec. 8, the vision of local resident Corinne Sikora who died in November of 2020 after brain and breast cancer diagnoses.
"In an effort to anchor the Center to Corinne, people will come to know the Center as; Kin Wellness and Support, Inspired by Corinne Transue Sikora," representatives wrote.

An all-inclusive 5,000 square ft. retreat center, Kin offers integrative services, support, fitness, and therapy. The center is free to Bucks County residents battling cancer regardless of where they are receiving treatment, and also welcomes family and caregivers.
Matt Sikora said that he thought others were surprised to discuss a re-brand.

"But when I consider Corinne’s life of service to this community, I think she would undoubtedly want to redirect the attention away from herself and focus all of her positive energy on empowering the patients that this facility will help," he said. "Each person’s traversal through cancer is unique, and each patient has the right to their own identity, in their own story, without being forced to feel as if they are walking in the footsteps of someone who has gone before. Corinne had a way of making everyone she met feel like family, so the concept of Kin fits perfectly with her life of service."
He said he is excited for Kin's identity to be shaped by all those who pass through its doors and connect with one another.
“By definition, the word ‘kin’ embodies Corinne’s love of people and the happiness that relationships brought to her and those who knew her," founding member and long-time friend Alyssa Walloff said. "It also outlines what Corinne envisioned for the Center — a place where people sharing a common experience felt like family.”
The new logo includes a circle, symbolizing the community collectively surrounding the patient and providing uplifting comfort and support as an extension of family. The use of a handwritten font is meant to recall that this Center is driven by people who are compassionate and real. The color tones were selected to create a palette that Corinne had an affinity for — homey, earthy, warm, and welcoming.
“Stefan and I didn’t think twice about helping with branding & interiors for Kin," said Gina Alvarez, marketing and design consultant. "The concept of offering a coordinated suite of free wellness services to local cancer patients is an idea whose time is long overdue, and it’s been our pleasure to assist in bringing it to life."
A wide variety of free holistic and integrative services including nutrition classes, support groups, gardening, massage, music, book clubs, acupuncture, energy treatment, crafting, workshops, live music, counseling, yoga, and fitness will be offered regularly.
Located at 2325 Heritage Center Drive, Suite 113 in Buckingham, Kin's usual website will soon migrate to www.welcometokin.org.
