The Dubliner In New Hope To Close Its Doors At The End of 2025
"Our pub has never been just a business. It has been a gathering place, meeting ground, and a little home along the river," said the owners.

NEW HOPE, PA — After more than 10 years in business, the owners of The Dubliner on the Delaware have announced plans to close the popular Irish-themed pub on December 31.
"This is not an easy message to write, because our pub has never been just a business — it has been a gathering place, a meeting ground, and a little home along the river where stories were told, friendships were made, and memories were poured as generously as the pints," wrote owners Robert and Margaret Lynch in a farewell message to the community.
"Over the years, you filled these walls with laughter, good music, shared meals, spirited conversations, celebrations, and comfort on the tough days. You made The Dubliner what it truly was: a warm Irish Pub in every sense — rooted in community, kindness, and that unmistakable New Hope magic."

The North Main Street restaurant - known for its Irish & American dishes, its draft beer and its warm tavern atmosphere - was purchased for $1.8 million earlier this fall by New Jersey-based Landmark Developers, which also owns the Logan Inn.
It was unclear what Landmark plans to do with the landmark pub, but the property is located adjacent to The Landing, which Landmark also owns and has plans to redevelop.

Robert and Margaret Lynch opened the Dubliner a decade ago at the former home of Mother's Restaurant. They named it after the folk group, the Dubliners, of which Robert's father was once a member.
In their farewell, the owners extended their gratitude to everyone who walked through their doors.
"Thank you for supporting us, believing in us, and choosing to spend your moments — big and small — with us. Thank you for your patience, your loyalty, your generosity, and the way you embraced our little pub on the river.
"We leave with memories that will stay with us for a lifetime, and with gratitude that goes far beyond words," they wrote. "Though this chapter is closing, the spirit of The Dubliner will live on in every toast, every story, and every kind soul who was part of our journey. From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for being part of our family."
