Fire Rips Through Bucks County Barn In Solebury

Firefighters were called to the scene at 9 p.m. for a reported brush fire that was quickly upgraded to a structure fire.

SOLEBURY TOWNSHIP, PA — A fire ripped through a Bucks County barn Sunday night in the 6200 block of Meetinghouse Road in Solebury Township.

Firefighters were called to the scene at 9 p.m. for a reported brush fire that was quickly upgraded to a structure fire. Midway Fire Company's Engine 5 was the first on the scene and made a quick attack using its deck gun to knock down the flames while crews deployed handlines.

Firefighters with Tanker 5 and Ladder 5 from Midway arrived simultaneously with Tanker 5 positioned to feed a water supply to Engine 5.

Midway's Engine 15-1 dropped a large diameter hose at the end of the driveway and proceeded up the length of the farm entrance laying all of its 1600 feet of hose line. The hose was then utilized by a Tanker Task Force, which hooked up and flowed water to the fire scene.

A tanker task force including Point Pleasant, Lingohocken, Warwick Township and Hunterdon Station 47 (Sergeantville) provided a water supply. Station 19 (Doylestown) provided coverage at Midway Station 5 throughout the call. And Fire Police from Doylestown and Warwick Township assisted Midway Fire Police at the scene and at the tanker fill site.

Also on scene were Central Bucks Emergency Medical Services, Solebury Township Police, and the Solebury Township Public Works Department.

Mutual aid companies remained on scene until about 11:30 p.m. while Midway conducted mop up operations and repacking equipment.
