French Artisan Bakery Opens New Location In Titusville, NJ
L'Annexe de Mamie Colette is specializing in crepes and will soon be offering freshly-baked French breads.

TITUSVILLE, NJ — The mouthwatering croissants that Bucks County residents have come to know and enjoy at Mamie Colette in Newtown are now available in Titusville, N.J.
The owners of the artisan bakery specializing in French viennoiserie have opened a second location - L'Annexe de Mamie Colette - at 1462 River Road in the Titusville Marketplace.
L'Annexe is offering a unique concept, specializing in sweet and savory crepes from Brittany, France, pastries from Chartres, France, and will soon be adding home-baked French breads, which it will also be selling at its Newtown location.

Isabelle, who co-owns the stores with her partner in life and in business, Chef Magali, said the initial plan was to find a commercial space to bake French breads for its Bucks County store. Lucky for New Jersey, the idea expanded to include an artisan bakery.
“Increasingly people were asking for bread,” said Isabelle of their Newtown customers. “For bread you need enormous ovens and we didn’t have the space in Newtown. So we started looking for commercial spaces where we could bake bread - a commissary for Mamie Colette. We didn’t find anything on the Pennsylvania side so we started to look in New Jersey. As we were driving to Lambertville we saw a few buildings on the side of the road that were beautiful.”
The place they found on Route 29 in Titusville - the Titusville Marketplace - had been a former tractor dealership that had been abandon for six years. It was acquired by a local family who renovated the space into "a gorgeous space," said Isabelle.
The space was perfect for a bakery and a retail space so they decided to not just lease space for a commercial bakery and commissary which was their original intent, but to open a second store specializing in crepes.
The idea of serving sweet and savory crepes comes from Isabelle's home region in France, - Brittany - which is known for its buckwheat crepes.
“I always had it in the back of my mind that it would be nice to make crepes here,” said Isabelle. “They are made the traditional way (with buckwheat). We have a good six choices of savory and about a dozen sweets."

The partners have brought on board a “very talented pastry chef from France” who will be in charge of bread baking. He will eventually be baking up to seven different French breads and baguettes for both locations. The bakery is scheduled to open at the end of this month.
“We can't wait to welcome you, whether you're a local resident of Titusville or the surrounding towns, or just enjoying a stroll by the river!” said Isabelle.
The Titusville store will be open Tuesday to Sunday. On Tuesday (crepes only), the store is open from from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Wednesday and Thursday hours are from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. And on Friday,Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Looking ahead, L'Annexe de Mamie Colette will be hosting a fundraiser for Newtown-based A Love For Life on May 19, the holiday of Brittany. A Love For Life raises funds in support of Penn Medicine and its work to find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
