Gas Main Installation In Lambertville Starts Monday
Crews got back to work in the N. Union Street area, clearing snow for the Elizabethtown Gas project.
LAMBERTVILLE, NJ — Work has resumed on the installation of a gas main in downtown Lambertville, with plans for street excavation set to start Monday.
Skoda Contracting spent Friday on snow removal in advance of the work. Lambertville officials said last week that they may need more time for that, because of all the snow that has piled up recently.
Elizabethtown Gas is upgrading its natural gas pipeline system, which provides gas to 292,000 customers across northern New Jersey. The work in Lambertville is part of the program, which is replacing aging natural gas mains and other pipes with new, durable plastic.
