Mail Theft Attempt Reported In Solebury

SOLEBURY, PA — Police in Solebury are warning residents about an apparent attempt at stealing mail over the weekend.

On Sunday, the Solebury Township Police Department got a report of the attempt on Stony Hill Road. According to the caller, two women got out of a black Mazda sedan and went through a mailbox.

They took an envelope to their car, but later returned it to the mailbox, police said.

The driver was described as a white female in her early twenties, with dark brown, shoulder-length hair and wearing a gray, fur jacket. The passenger was described as a white female in her early twenties as well, with dyed blonde hair and wearing a dark jacket and dark jeans.

The car may have been a Mazda3, according to the caller.
