Mill Ballet Celebrating International Dance Day With Viva Cultura

The public is invited to the family-friendly event that will showcase a vibrant lineup of live performances throughout the afternoon.

NEW HOPE, PA — The Mill Ballet School of New Hope at 46 North Sugan Road is celebrating International Dance Day with a weeklong celebration culminating in a Viva Cultura Cinco de Mayo Festival.

The celebration includes a special Open House Week, running through Saturday, May 3, during which the school will offer free dance classes to all new visiting students. The event invites the community to discover the "transformative power of dance."

The festivities will culminate in the Viva Cultura Cinco de Mayo Festival on Saturday, May 3 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the studios, 46 North Sugan Road, New Hope. The public is invited to the family-friendly cultural event that will showcase a vibrant lineup of live performances throughout the afternoon.

Featured performers include:

  • Roxey Ballet
  • Mill Ballet School Trainees
  • Bombazo Dance Company
  • Kojo Ayinde, Drummer (West African drumming)
  • Lisa Botalico (Flamenco artist)
  • Art of Motion Dance Theatre

In addition to performances, the week will offer participatory activities, cultural displays, and open classes in various dance styles including ballet, hip hop, contemporary, jazz, Latin ballroom, and more — all open to the public free of charge.
