Fire Damages Historic Bucks County Inn

Firefighters from both sides of the Delaware responded to South Main Street in New Hope around 7:30 p.m. for a building fire.

NEW HOPE, PA — A fire broke out Monday night at the historic Logan Inn located in the heart of New Hope Borough.

At 7:31 p.m., firefighters from both sides of the river responded to the inn at South Main Street and West Ferry Street for a building fire.

Flames were visible from the roofline of the historic inn as firefighters used ladder trucks to reach the roofline and hose lines and ventilation to attack the flames.

Companies from Bucks and Hunterdon counties, including New Hope Eagle, Midway and Lambertville Fire Co. No. 1, collaborated to extinguish the fire.

The building suffered fire, smoke and water damage, although the extent of the damage was not immediately known.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Bucks County Fire Marshal's Office.

Fire companies responding to the scene included New Hope Eagle, which had command; Midway Volunteer Fire Company, Upper Makefield, Lambertville Fire Company No. 1, Point Pleasant, Lingohocken, and Hunterdon County Emergency Services. Also on scene was New Hope-Lambertville Medic 175.
