New Hope-Solebury 6th Grader Checkmates The Competition

NEW HOPE, PA — Out of 120 players, New Hope-Solebury sixth grader Brandon Ozols battled his way to 9th place (Top 10) in the U700 level Shining Knights Chess Tournament this past weekend in Doylestown.

With strategic openings, sharp tactics, and a lightning-fast five-minute win, Brandon showed true endgame mastery and checkmated the competition.

The Queen's Harvest Scholastic Chess competition took place on Sunday at the Doylestown Township Community Recreation Center.
