New Hope Voter Guide 2025: Who's On Ballot, Where To Vote

NEW HOPE, PA — The general election in Pennsylvania takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 4, with voters casting their ballots for state, county, municipal, and school board races.

The election technically has already begun, as mail-in votes are already being dropped off and mailed in to the Board of Elections from throughout the county.

At the county level, voters will fill row office seats for District Attorney, Bucks County Sheriff, Prothonotary, Recorder of Deeds, and County Controller. In addition, they will send a new class of judges to the bench.

Locally, the only contested races are for Solebury Township Supervisor and New Hope Borough Mayor. Voters will elect two supervisors from a field of three in Solebury. And in New Hope Borough, Frank DeLuca and Mary Brashier will again face off for the job of mayor with DeLuca on the Democratic ballot and Brashier on the Republican.

Incumbents John Francis and Mark Baum Baicker, the current chairman of the supervisors, are running for re-election.

"John Francis and I are proud of what we have accomplished during our combined 15 years as supervisors and respectfully request that all Solebury residents vote for us so that we can continue our work on their behalf," said Baum Baicker.

They are being challenged by Republican John DeAndrea, who serves on the township's planning commission. He is campaigning on a platform of fiscal responsibility, restoring a diverse, two-party system in Solebury, environmental sustainability, education and youth development, and community engagement.
