Original Russo's Pizza Closes Its Doors In New Hope
The North Main St. pizzeria was known for its gigantic pies and even caught the attention of famed "One Bite" pizza reviewer Dave Portnoy.

NEW HOPE BOROUGH, PA — The Original Russo’s Pizza, rated as among the best pizza places in Bucks County, has closed its doors.
The North Main Street pizzeria, known for its gigantic pies, posted on Google that the owners have moved to center city Philadelphia where they plan on opening a new pizza place in May.
“Thank you to all our customers who became friends over the past few years. We look forward to seeing you at our new location,” they wrote on Google.

The pizzeria gained notoriety in November 2023 when Bar Stool’s Dave Portnoy stopped by the pizzeria to rate their pizza with his “One Bite” review. He gave their pizza a 7.5 rating.
The closing caught Russo fans by surprise with many expressing sadness over the news.

“Those guys were phenomenal. Energetic, charismatic and kind. So sad,” wrote one customer.
Another wrote, “Really?! Why? Their pizza was delicious!! And awesome customer service.”
“Ohhhh nooo,” wrote yet another. “That was the best pizza in town.”
