Police Investigate Thefts, Criminal Mischief Incidents In New Hope

NEW HOPE, PA — The New Hope Borough Police Department responded to a variety of calls for service and initiated several investigations during the past week. The following is a summary of notable incidents:
April 21
- Criminal mischief was reported at a home on River Hill. An investigation is underway.

- Officers responded to McCaffrey’s Market for a reported retail theft. A suspect was identified, and appropriate action is being taken.
April 23
- A wellbeing check was conducted on a resident at Pinewood Circle. The individual was found to be safe and well.
- Officers investigated a traffic accident in the vicinity of 128 S. Main Street. No injuries were reported.
- Police are investigating a retail theft at The Cat Walk of New Hope.
April 24

- Officers responded to noise complaints regarding loud music emanating from East Ferry Road. The matter was addressed.
- A wellbeing check was performed on an individual observed slumped over in a vehicle in the McCaffrey’s Market parking lot. The driver was found to be unharmed.
April 26
- Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported while it was parked in the American Legion parking lot. The incident is being investigated.
- The New Hope Borough Police Department successfully participated in the Drug Take Back Day event held at CVS, contributing to the safe disposal of unwanted medications.
April 27
- At approximately 12:16 a.m., officers investigated a suspicious vehicle at the New Hope Solebury High School. The vehicle owner was identified, and it was determined the vehicle was safely parked.
- Officers responded to Frans Pub on S. Main Street for a reported harassment complaint. The matter is under investigation.
