Police Make DUI Arrest, Investigate Assault In New Hope
The New Hope Police Department reported no incidents or arrests during last Saturday's Pride Parade in New Hope.
NEW HOPE BOROUGH, PA — For the week of May 12 to 18, the New Hope Borough Police Department responded to a variety of calls for service and initiated several investigations. Here's a snapshot of some notable incidents from the past week:
May 12
- Officers investigated a domestic disturbance in Riverhill.
- A traffic stop for a violation led to the arrest of a driver for driving under the influence of alcohol.
May 16

- Police investigated a suspicious person in the Tahoe area. The individual was successfully identified.
- Police responded to a report of a disorderly group of intoxicated people at the Logan Inn. By the time police arrived, the group had left the area.
- A domestic disturbance was reported on S. Main Street.
May 17
- The Pride Parade and Fair took place with no incidents or arrests.
May 18

- Officers responded to the Logan Inn for a stolen vehicle report, but quickly located the car parked at Union Square where the owner had left it.
- A man was assaulted in the area of 8 West Mechanic Street. An investigation into the incident is continuing.
