Korn, who grew up in a restaurant family on Long Island, learned the art of cooking at just eight years old alongside his mother. His passion for food and respect for traditional Thai recipes were instilled in him from an early age. After honing his culinary skills at the French Culinary Institute in New York City, where his wife Chayanee specialized in pastry, Korn brought his family’s legacy of Thai cuisine to New Jersey with the opening of Pru Thai.

"Cooking has always been about family for me. Learning from my mom, working side by side with my wife, and now being able to share our story and food with even more communities as we grow is incredibly special," says Korn.“We’re excited to bring the same dedication and love to Lambertville."

Pru Thai has built a reputation for offering a rich dining experience, blending authentic flavors with the Wongsarochanas’ culinary backgrounds. The new Lambertville location expands its reach while maintaining the charm and authenticity that have made the Clinton and Pennington locations neighborhood favorites. Diners will find a modern, French bistro-like space setting the stage for Pru Thai’s authentic cooking.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary at Pru Thai, Korn and Chayanee have introduced a special dish, "Sen Jan Pad Pu," a nod to Korn’s family heritage in Chantaburi, Thailand. This beloved dish — a noodle recipe incorporating the umami-forward flavors of shrimp heads — pays homage to Korn’s mother and her hometown, honoring the flavors and traditions that have influenced his cooking from the start.

The anniversary menu is a celebration of family and food, bringing a taste of regional Thai cuisine to New Jersey diners.

Pru Thai will offer other special promotions, including exclusive menu items, and giveaways across all locations for its 20th-anniversary celebrations.
