“ShadFest attracts people from across the tri-state area for a day of fun-filled activities. It’s an important event for our Lambertville businesses, and we are grateful for Union Chill’s support this year as Premier Sponsor to continue this tradition,” said Lisa Voorhees, president of the Greater Lambertville Chamber of Commerce.
The festival, which attracts hundreds of locals and tourists and is celebrating its 41st year, is named after the American Shad that swarm the Delaware River each spring on their migration from the Atlantic Ocean to spawn. During this time of year, locals can be found fishing for shad on Lewis Island, the only Shad fishery left on the Delaware River.
