PHILADELPHIA, PA — Are you looking to score a deal this Black Friday? Plan ahead by knowing which of your favorite stores will be open on Black Friday, which this year falls on Nov. 29.
But first, if you want to get a jump start, a number of malls will be open starting on Thanksgiving. On the flip side, several will be closed entirely and observe regular hours for Black Friday.
Americans are projected to spend between $727 and $730 billion during the 2019 holiday shopping season, which runs from Nov. 13 to Dec. 25, according to a study by WalletHub.

Shoppers on Black Friday hope to maximize their budget by getting the sales and top deals, but there are other ways to pare down your spending budget, WalletHub researchers say.
“To avoid overspending during the holidays, have a realistic budget and plan with a maximum cap that you share with a spending partner, do not be guilted by yourself or others into overspending, and shop year-round early to get both the best prices and the greatest number of options,” Scott Swan, a professor of innovation and marketing at William & Mary, said in comments accompanying the study.
