2019 Newtown Holiday House Tour Set For Dec. 7
The event, a chance to" celebrate the beauty of the season" while looking at quaint, historic homes, is in its 57th year.

NEWTOWN, PA — Newtown's annual Holiday House Tour is set for Saturday, Dec. 7. The event, a chance to" celebrate the beauty of the season" while looking at quaint, historic homes, is in its 57th year.
This year, there will be seven private homes and six public buildings on the tour. The homes will be decorated for the holidays. All sites on the tour are within easy walking distance from the town center.
The cost of a ticket is $30 and includes entry into the Half-Moon Inn, where there will be period musical entertainment, hearthside colonial cooking demonstrations, and mulled cider and cheese. Children under 12 are free.

Tour hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- Chantry House, 1885 - 319 Centre Ave.
- Bancroft House, c. 1924 - 541 E. Centre Ave.
- Robert Pidcock House, 1888 - 422 E. Washington Ave.
- Thomas VanArtsdalen House, 1881 - 414 E. Washington Ave.
- Mary VanArtsdalen House, 1866 - 109 N. State St.
- Francis Murray House, 1770 - 35 Court St.

- The Stocking Works
- Newtown United Methodist Church
- Newtown Fire Association
- Newtown Library Company
- Half Moon Inn
- N.H.A. Research Center
You can purchase tickets in advance at Newtown Book & Record Exchange, 102 S. State Street or online.
On tour day, tickets can be purchased at the Half-Moon Inn, 105 Court Street and at the Stocking Works, 301 South State Street, Newtown.
In the event of a major snow storm, the tour will be held on Sunday, Dec. 8.
