BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The holiday may be Monday, but Bucks County will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day in grand style this weekend. From Levittown to Dublin, Irish eyes will be shining at parades and special events throughout the county.
Here are five fun things to do this weekend to celebrate the greening of Bucks County.
Bucks County's St. Patrick's Day Parade Marks Return
Levittown will be the place for the annual Bucks County St. Patrick's Day Parade, a tradition that goes back to 1989. The parade returns after being canceled at the last minute for safety concerns over a fatal triple shooting last year in Falls Township. The parade kicks off at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15 at Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Bristol Township, proceed along New Falls Road, and end at the Levittown American Baseball Fields in Falls Township, across from the Thornridge Shopping Center. Peddler's Village Going Green With Irish-Themed Food And Events
Peddler’s Village will "Celebrate the Green" with a long weekend — March 14 to 17 — of Irish-themed fun featuring a free outdoor “Find the Pots ‘O Gold” scavenger hunt, a pub crawl, a “Taste of Ireland” Sunday brunch, and a “Shake Your Shamrock Fun Run.” From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, and Sunday, March 16, families can engage in the free Find the Pots ‘O Gold scavenger hunt that will reward participating children with novelty prizes and adults with the chance to enter into a drawing for a $100 dining and lodging gift card. Dublin Town Center To Celebrate St. Patrick's Day With Irish Fun
There's no better place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day than in Dublin. The Dublin Town Center will celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Irish fun on Saturday, March 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The center's "Lucky To Have You Event" will feature a day filled with special promotions, live music and a shamrock scavenger hunt. During the hunt, visitors are challenged to find a hidden shamrock at The Station or The Square to claim a prize from a participating business. READ MORE

St. Patrick's Day Celebration At Sesame Place
Sesame Place in Middletown Township will celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day with clovers, Irish music, and more from March 15 to 23. Highlights include a Furry Friends St. Patrick’s Day Dance Party, where guests can dance a jig to fun and energetic tunes along with their favorite Sesame Street friend; Irish Dancing Shows by the Rince Ri School of Irish Dance at Sesame Studios; Grover’s Clover Scavenger Hunt, a St. Patrick’s Day-themed scavenger hunt around the park; and St. Patrick’s Day Dine with Elmo & Friends, featuring photos with everyone’s favorite furry friends in their festive green St. Patrick’s Day attire and scrumptious St. Patrick’s Day-inspired treat. Newtown Irish Festival Continues With Music, Food, And Dancing
The Newtown Irish Festival is officially underway at the Green Parrot Restaurant on North Sycamore Street with Irish music, food, dancing, and fun ongoing between now and St. Patrick's Day (March 17). The afternoons and evenings are packed with everything Irish from food and specialty drinks to Irish dancers, live bands, balloon creations and the restaurant's own Green Parrot mascot, who will be making appearances throughout the festival. The parrot's menu is brimming with Irish favorites from Irish chowder, Guinness stew and potato soup to shepherd's pie, corned beef and cabbage, fish and chips, bangers and mash, Irish nachos, a shamrock sandwich, and lots more.
