NEWTOWN, PA — The holidays in Newtown will be in full swing this weekend, with the holiday parade, holiday house tour, tree lighting, and more festive fun.

TREE LIGHTING

Newtown's tree lighting event is set for this Friday, Dec. 6 at the Newtown Fire Association on Liberty Street. The event starts at 7 p.m., according to organizers Newtown Mercantile Group.
SANTA HOUSE

Once the tree is lit, children can visit with Santa at his house on Washington Avenue in the parking lot of the fire station. If you can't make it to the tree lighting but want to visit with Santa, he will be at his house from 1-3 p.m. on the following days:

- Dec. 15
- Dec. 21
- Dec. 22

The annual Newtown Holiday Parade will step off at 2 p.m. The event, sponsored by McCaffrey's Food Markets and organized by the Newtown Business Association, is expected to have 1,800 participants. Here are the details on that event.
