Book Launch, Reading Of Late Professor's Poetry Book On Oct. 24
Bucks County Community College will be hosting a memorial reading of the new book of poetry by the late Professor Christopher Bursk.
NEWTOWN, PA — Bucks County Community College will be hosting a book launch and memorial reading in honor of longtime Bucks Professor of Language & Literature and acclaimed poet, Dr. Christopher Bursk.
The event will be a part of the book launch campaign for his latest book of poetry, With Aeneas in a Time of Plague, which was published by Ragged Sky Press. The book was largely inspire by the ancient classic, The Aeneid by Virgil.
Dr. Bursk passed away on June 21. He was a Professor at Bucks County Community College for 50 years, and had published 17 books of poetry, including his most recent work.

Scheduled guest readers will include Cornelius Eady, Betsy Sholl, George Drew, Alfred Encarnacion, Dr. Charlie Groth, Lynn Levine, Nick Berube, Jane Mohler, Luray Gross, and Hayden Saunier.
The event will be held in-person and online via Zoom. Those attending in person will go to an outdoor tent set up outside of the college's Tyler Hall, and social distancing and face masks will be required by all attendees. Parking will be available in Employee Lot 4 behind the Science Center.
