3 Cited For Trespassing, Police Seize Narcotics: Newtown Twp. Crime Report

In other reports, police investigated stolen hunting accessories, arrested two on active warrants following traffic stops.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following arrests and incidents between Dec. 13 and 18:

December 13

  • At 4:15 p.m., police were dispatched to an abandoned building in Newtown Township for the report of trespassers. As a result of the investigation, police made spoke with three male subjects who were cited for trespassing.

  • At 2 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a Chevy Impala for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Lower Silver Lake Road and the Newtown Bypass. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending.

December 15

  • At 1:30 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a Jeep SUV for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Lower Silver Lake Road and the Newtown Bypass. As a result of the investigation, a passenger was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department and transferred without incident.
  • At 8:45 a.m., police were dispatched to a Newtown Township residence for the report of a wanted subject. As a result of the investigation, the subject was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department and transferred without incident.
  • At 3 p.m., police were contacted regarding the reported theft of hunting accessories. The incident is under investigation.
  • At 5:30 p.m., police were dispatched to CVS Pharmacy for the report of a retail theft. The incident is under investigation.

  • At 3:15 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a Hyundai SUV for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the 600 block of Danbury Court. As a result of the investigation, a passenger was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department and transferred without incident.
