Candidate Withdraws Name From Consideration For Sewer Authority Post In Newtown
One of the three candidates who submitted letters of interest in the appointment has withdrawn from consideration.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — One of three candidates seeking appointment to the Newtown, Bucks County Joint Sewer Authority has withdrawn his name from consideration.
Keith Terry, retired from the Bucks County Water & Sewer Authority after 38 years, asked the board of supervisors to take his name out of consideration for the post.
“After further consideration, I've decided to withdraw my application for this position at this time," he wrote in an email to the supervisors. "Being retired from Bucks County Water and Sewer and still collecting some benefits, I think it's in my best interest to step back and avoid any possible conflict of interest that may arise.”

Terry was one of three residents who stepped forward to fill an opening on the Newtown, Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority representing Newtown Township. The other two candidates are planning commission member Craig Deutsch and engineering consultant Marc R. Bjorkman.
The supervisors tabled action on the appointment at its June 11 meeting to give members more time to vet the candidates. The motion is expected to be taken off the table at its next meeting.
