Climate Change Speaker Series Opens In Langhorne

LANGHORNE BOROUGH, PA — Middletown Friends Meeting opens its environmentally-based speakers series, “Learning to Live in a Changing Climate,” with guest presenter Jonathan Sprout on Sunday, March 23 beginning at 2 p.m. at Middletown Friends Meetinghouse, 453 W. Maple Avenue, in Langhorne.

Sprout owns a net-zero home that puts more energy into the electric grid than it takes out. He will discuss specifics about a carbon footprint, including reducing the use of plastics, installing solar panels, the benefits of owning a plug-in vehicle, how to secure free tree saplings for your property, and how to choose the best energy-efficient heating and cooling devices available.
