Council Rock Board To Discuss Gwynedd Mercy Partnership, Funding
The Board of School Directors will meet on Thursday to discuss various initiatives, including a dual enrollment program with Gwynedd Mercy.
NEWTOWN, PA — Council Rock School District's Board of School Directors will hold a public school board meeting on Thursday to discuss district initiatives such as the approval of various funds, taxes, and further discussions related to a dual enrollment program with Gwynedd Mercy University for Council Rock juniors and seniors.
The meeting will cover matters to be voted on, including contracts between Council Rock and a business consulting firm, further partnership agreements with the Bucks County Intermediate Unit, and personnel actions for educators and other staff in the District.
Another piece of business that will be discussed is the school district's membership for the Delaware Valley Consortium for Excellence and Equity, a program through the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education, which will offer virtual workshops for educators in the district.

A dual enrollment program with Gwynedd Mercy University is also being discussed. Juniors and seniors in good academic standing at Council Rock highs schools will be eligible to join the program. The Board will discuss if the School District wants to engage in this partnership and come to a decision during the meeting.
The meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7, at the School District's headquarters, 30 North Chancellor Street. The event will be broadcasted via CRTV.
