WILLOW GROVE, PA — The Council Rock High School North Marching Band walked away with its second consecutive victory this Saturday after winning the 53rd Annual Music in Motion Competition at Upper Moreland High School in Willow Grove.

The competition is a part of the Cavalcade of Bands circuit. This is the second show North has competed in after two years of no competitions.

This is also the second time that the performance of their 2021 show 'Shattered' won the 59-piece ensemble first-place in their Liberty-A division, following their Oct. 9 victory at the Spectrum of Sound Marching Band Show at Pennridge High School. The rain-soaked show was once again under the leadership of band director Wayne Bishop.

“The musicians and color guard overcame a lot, performing on a rain-swept field,” said Bishop.

“It’s a testament to their hard work and dedication that they were able to execute so well, especially under those less-than-ideal conditions.”
