Council Rock North Named Christmas Choir Champions

The choir team at Council Rock High School North is celebrating its first place victory in the B101.1 2020 Christmas Choir Competition.

NEWTOWN, PA — The choir team at Council Rock High School North is celebrating its first place victory in the B101.1 2020 Christmas Choir Competition.

The high school choir was one of three finalists competing for the title of best Christmas choir, along with Council Rock High School South, which came in second place, and Creative Arts Morgan Village Academy, which came in third.

Council Rock NorthVoice, directed by vocal music teacher Ryan Carlin, received the most votes for its performance of "The First Noel." The Council Rock South Vocal Ensemble performed "Let It Snow" and is directed by Corey Axler.

The grand prize of $5,000 will go toward the Council Rock High School North music program.
