Dialogue With The Artists At ArtWRKD Gallery In Newtown
This is the last weekend to view the current exhibits, "It Takes The Village (The Ugly Girl Diaries, Redux)" and "Dauntless."

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — ArtWRKD Gallery presents a dialogue with three artists - Katee Boyle, Lisa Naples and Rachel Romano - on Sunday, March 30 beginning at 2 p.m.
"Join us as we sit with these incredible artists and discuss the exhibitions on view, their process, themes that come through in the work and what drives them to create," said gallery owner Ashara Shapiro.
In her works, Katee Boyle explores a wide range of media including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, video, words, sound and installation to create the artifacts and narratives attributed to her work. A conceptually-driven expressionist, her stories stem from personal tributes to an unyielding faith in the power of emotional responses.

Lisa Naples has had a long studio career in the art of ceramics. "At this point, clay and I are dear, old friends. My experience in the studio is a conversation; a collaboration with something unseen, but felt and understood."
Rachel Romano’s finished paintings have similarities to the painters of the Northern Renaissance. She loves working in oils because it has so much forgiveness, wiping out, adding new layers. Lots of vigor goes into the initial layout. Nothing is really worked out before she stars a painting, consequently Rachel’s paintings will go through many iterations before they are complete.
