Drunk Driver Crashes Into Vehicles In Upper Makefield, Curses Out Police

The driver was arrested for DUI and traffic-related offenses after crashing into three parked vehicles, police reported.

UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — A drunk driver decided to play a dangerous game of bumper cars early Sunday morning in the Heritage Hills section of the township, police said.

At approximately 2 a.m., police said the driver hit three unoccupied parked vehicles and the curb on Dispatch Drive. The driver also hit his head on the windshield, police said.

Not deterred, police said he continued to drive on the rim until coming to a stop at the swimming pool parking lot.

When officers arrived, they spoke with the driver who police say was intoxicated. The driver was arrested for DUI and traffic-related offenses.

Officers checked the neighborhood and were unable to find any additional vehicles that may have been struck by the vehicle.

“Unfortunately, the driver was less than cooperative, cursing at the officers, kicking the cell door, telling police they had illegally arrested them, and the always popular, you are getting sued," police said. "Needless to say, we will continue with criminal prosecution and they will have their day in court.”
