Firefighters Knock Down Garage Fire, Save Newtown Twp. Home

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Firefighters knocked down a garage fire early Monday afternoon and saved a house on Columbine Court in the Newtown Grant development.

Crews from Newtown Fire Rescue along with their mutual aid companies responded to the scene just after 12 p.m. Firefighters advanced hose lines to battle the fire, which they extinguished within minutes with only minor extension into the building.

No injuries were reported, according to the firefighters.

Responding to the smoky scene with Newtown Fire Rescue were Upper Makefield, Lingohocken, Langhorne-Middletown, Penndel Fire Company and Newtown Ambulance.
