LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA — The Lower Makefield Woman’s Club celebrated its 75th anniversary during an event held on May 15 at Carlucci’s Grille in Lower Makefield.

The club was started by a group of Yardley housewives in 1950, while they were chatting in their backyards.

Through wars, natural disasters, disease outbreaks, and social upheaval, the club has survived and continues to support the community, donating to many local charitable organizations, as well as providing a strong social bond and support among its numerous members.
