Investigation Into Pedestrian Crash Near George School Continues

It is too early to say if charges are expected in connection with the Tuesday evening crash that injured two students, police said.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The investigation into the pedestrian crash that injured two George School students this week remains under investigation, Middletown Township Police Chief Joseph Bartorilla said Thursday.

Bartorilla said it is too early to say if charges are expected in connection with the Tuesday evening crash. "We are still investigating and it will take a while to complete it," he told Patch.

The students, who have not been identified, were seriously injured after they were hit by a car while crossing in a crosswalk on Rt. 413.

The crash happened around 7 p.m. and closed Newtown-Langhorne Road for much of the night.

The striking vehicle remained at the scene, Bartorilla confirmed.

The students were in serious condition following the crash. Their current status is not known.

George School did not return a request seeking information, but in a report by the Bucks County Courier Times, they asked that the public respect the privacy of the school community.
