Latest PA Halloween Forecast Has Good News For Trick-Or-Treaters

There's good news for trick-or-treaters in the latest Halloween weather forecast.

PENNSYLVANIA — A storm impacting the region Thursday will ease up for several hours during the late afternoon and evening — right around trick-or-treating time, forecasters are now predicting.

Forecasters are now estimating thunderstorms in the early afternoon will be followed by a brief break in precipitation. Expect the worst of the storm to come through later in the night, bringing high winds and thunderstorms, the National Weather Service said.

The agency has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook, saying a line of showers with embedded thunderstorms will move through the region during the night and early part of the overnight hours. "The potential exists for strong, damaging winds over 60 mph to occur in places as this line moves through. Given many trees remain fully leafed, power outages are possible," the warning said.
