Legion Baseball To Salute Veterans, First Responders At Newtown's Pickering Field

Special night of baseball, patriotic salutes, and food trucks on Wednesday evening in Newtown Borough.

NEWTOWN, PA — The public is invited to a Veterans & First Responders American Legion baseball game on Wednesday, June 11, beginning at 5:45 p.m. at Pickering Field.

The free evening will begin with a pre-game salute to veterans and first responders followed by an American Legion Baseball game between the Newtown Patriots and the Northampton Bombers.

“Please come out and thank the Veterans and First Responders in our community, while enjoying a great baseball game on the newly-renovated Pickering Ball Field,” said event organizers.

Providing food throughout the evening will be the Kono Pizza truck, Skip’s Chicken food truck and the Newtown Ice House, which will be taking over the snack shack with its frozen treats.
