Man Charged With Assault In Newtown Township
The felony charges reportedly stem from a Thanksgiving morning fight outside the Green Parrot.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A Yardley man is facing felony aggravated assault charges in connection with a Nov. 28 incident in Newtown Township.
Benjamin Lee Schnitzler, 24, was charged Feb. 7 by Newtown Township Police. The charges stem from an assault outside of the Green Parrot, The Intelligencer reported.
According to information provided by police shortly after the incident, a man was hospitalized in a fight that happened outside of the Green Parrot early Thanksgiving morning.

Police said the unidentified man was knocked unconscious and hospitalized during a physical altercation in the early morning hours outside of the bar on Sycamore Street.
The incident was one of a series of physical altercations that happened at the bar that night, police said.

Schnitzler's preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 19, court records show.
