Newtown Businesses To Host Party for Breast Cancer Organizations
The Newtown Borough business community will be hosting a block party on State Street to support Pine2Pink, a breast cancer nonprofit.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Borough business community will be gathering together to host a State Street block party called "Light the Night Pink" on Thursday, Oct. 28, in support of a Bucks County nonprofit working to fight breast cancer and a local wellness center.
The Pine2Pink Foundation, a nonprofit that works with Bucks County breast cancer patients, has been working with Newtown businesses to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month all month long.
As part of the foundation's initiative, founder and executive director Keith Fenimore has partnered with several businesses across the town in an effort to raise money for programs that directly aid breast cancer patients, such as a transportation program, integrative services through Unite for Her, comfort bags for newly diagnosed patients, and home food delivery, to name a few.

The foundation has worked throughout Doylestown in past years, changing lightbulbs throughout the town to pink bulbs and adding a pink letter 'K' to all Pine Street signs during the month of October in an effort to make the street literally 'Pink'.
Fenimore, who also runs the Corinne Sikora Wellness and Support Center out of Furlong, has used Pine2Pink as a way to help those suffering from breast cancer, and to help spread the word throughout Bucks County.

“Pine2Pink was designed to be a visceral, experience-based, community driven non-profit
that keeps funds local," Fenimore said.
"Watching the small business owners form Newtown embrace the program and rally their community around Pine2Pink and the Corinne Sikora Center has been awe inspiring."

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. Raffles, drinks, live music, and art will be just a few parts of the night. All funds raised at the event will go directly to helping those with breast cancer around the Bucks County area.
Some of the Newtown businesses that have worked with Fenimore and his organizations include Giovanni's Fine Fashions, The Pro Shop of Newtown, SugarBomb, and Britt-Around-Town, a local social media influencer. Giovanni's and The Pro Shop will be organizing the event.
