Newtown Firefighters Knock Down Car Fire On Lindenhurst Road
The fire forced the closure of Lindenhurst Road just south of its intersection with Route 532.

LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA — Newtown Fire Rescue assisted the Yardley-Makefield Fire Company at an automobile fire Sunday afternoon on Lindenhurst Road near Amber Drive.
The full-time firefighters with Rescue 45 from Newtown used a hose line to extinguish the Hyundai Sonata, which was charred by the flames. Also on scene were Yardley-Makefield Fire Company and the Upper Makefield Fire Company.
The fire forced the closure of Lindenhurst Road just south of its intersection with Route 532 just before 1 p.m. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
